Our Mission Statement
The Donovan Creason Memorial Fund is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making a positive impact on the lives of children and persons in need so they can grow to become healthy, productive individuals.

Our Story
Fifteen years ago, Scott and Kathleen Creason received heartbreaking news: The baby boy they were expecting had an irreversible kidney defect. They were shattered to learn that he would not survive. Donovan Creason graced their lives for a short time before passing away on August 17, 1994.

After experiencing this personal tragedy, Scott and Kathleen struggled to make something positive out of this difficult situation. They decided to establish a memorial fund in Donovan's memory to raise money for local Sacramento area children's charities. The primary fundraising activity would be an annual golf tournament and auction.

Our Upcoming Event
The 2009 golf tournament, the fourteenth annual, is scheduled for August 7 - 8 in Lake Tahoe. The tournament and related events are available to any interested persons.

But the function is not just for golfers. In addition to the full golf tournament, the event includes several auctions and raffles. If you do not golf, please consider a contribution to the auction. Contributions do not have to be golf related. Last year's program included everything from portable stereos to vacation packages. All types and sizes of contributions are appreciated. All contributions are recognized in the promotional materials (if committed before printing) as well as the tournament brochure, which is provided to each participant.
